Work on laying a terrace board is divided into several stages. First of all, a strong base is prepared, for the arrangement of which the upper layer of soil is removed, and a sand-gravel pillow is laid, which is well crushed.

You should not lay a terrace board directly on the base of the soil. The option of using paving slabs is possible as the main element for the installation of a terrace board. In this case, the base of the lags fixed with a screwdriver and dowels is laid on the surface of the tiles. Tip: Before starting the assembly of the entire structure, it is recommended to give the board to acclimatize in the conditions in which it will be installed. To do this, leave the material at the installation site for two days so that it is used to humidity and air temperature.

It is not recommended to install terrace boards at low temperature, as this will further affect the duration of its operation.

Take care of the presence of a ventilation gap under the space of a terrace board. Its size reaches three centimeters, thus it will turn out to achieve free space, which will reduce the risk of fungus or mold on the boards.

It is not recommended to install a terrace board directly on the sand, grass or ground. The presence of a strong concrete base is required.

During temperature changes, the board is compressed or increased in size, so a small compensation clearance is necessary.

The maximum laying step is 400 mm, when installing a terrace board in places with increased operational loads, this value is reduced to 250 mm.

With the help of self -tapping screws, installation clips are attached to the lags. A terrace board is installed in the groove base of the clip. If the terrace board installed on the surface along the length of more than 800 mm, then the number of lags on which it is installed increases to three pieces. The end part of the board should not go beyond the lag by more than 50 mm. The distance between the wall and the end section of the board is 10-20 mm.

When arranging a terrace using long boards, both ends should reliably rest on the surface of the lag and fixed on them using clip.

Corner compounds are processed in two ways:

• with the help of end plugs - making the appearance of the board harmonious;
• Using end planks - fixed with self -tapping screws and made in accordance with a certain color of the coating.

In addition, the option of using a composite corner similar to the baseboard is possible.
