Stretch 3D ceilings

Stretch ceilings are no longer something unusual. Today it is a familiar design for many residential and public premises. The ceiling can be tightened with fabric or polyvinyl chloride material, have a variety of colors and textures. But a completely different technology is stretch fabrics with a 3D effect. Such products help expand the space, make it alive, cause delight and even surprise from contemplating these materials. The term three -dimensional image means that the pattern does not look flat, but voluminous. I want to touch it, and you can consider such a ceiling for a long time, finding new facets and features. The article will talk about 3D stretch ceilings.

The main characteristics of the 3D ceiling canvas

  • It is worth noting that this type of product is universal in its use. That is, stretch ceilings with a 3D effect can be mounted both in a living room and in an office building. Of course, the option looks more advantageous when the canvas is used in large space, since already small rooms will simply lose their attractiveness, and will have a negative impact on the state of people in the premises.
  • In general, stretch ceilings are called a system consisting of a combination of paintings and profiles, which is fixed under the main ceiling overlap. The canvas can consist of polyester textiles or polyvinyl chloride film, and guides are aluminum or plastic. To achieve a three -dimensional effect, manufacturers apply a special volumetric pattern directly to the even surface of the material or mount the structure on the walls, giving it various shapes and reliefs.

  • Stretch ceilings created on the basis of polyester are resistant to various temperatures, are not afraid of its sharp changes and their installation is carried out according to a simplified scheme, since there is no need to use heat guns to warm up the canvas. Vinyl material is a more complex product in the installation, as it requires warming up for high -quality tension, but at the same time such a product is absolutely not afraid of moisture. And if flooding happened, then it is quite easy to fix the situation, it is enough to drain the water and wait for the canvas.
  • It is polyvinyl chloride ceilings that can have various effects, due to the processing of material in a special way. For example, there is a glossy or matte coating, as well as a relief structure. The most striking effect can be achieved precisely in the combination of 3D image and glossy shine. The picture is as voluminous as possible, and mirror reflection perfectly complements the picture. Large images are most often applied to matte canvases, as it is a non -acidic base, which is an excellent background. And, finally, satin ceilings with light relief help to expand the boundaries of the image, make colors and shapes deeper.

  • If desired, to arrange in the room not only ceilings with a three-dimensional image, but also add textures, bulges, waves or implement other ideas, it should be borne in mind that this is possible only if the height of the room is at least 280-300 cm. The case of the structures will only clutter up the spaces and the desired result will be impossible to achieve.

Creating 3D stretch ceilings

  • The technology for the production of ceilings with a three -dimensional image appeared after the designers got the opportunity to use the photo printing method for fabric. The customer can choose a specific drawing by catalogs or offer his own option. Today it is not difficult to print absolutely any image and at the same time the canvas remains as resistant to sunlight and moisture, as in cases with a conventional stretch ceiling, without an image.
  • Various programs that can draw 3D images help create a model of a future project. Such software allows you to most clearly present the planned design from all possible sides, including even the smallest details. Also, these funds help to make calculations, select color schemes and create sketches of each part of the canvas separately.
  • A special printer helps to get a 3D drawing on the ceiling, which is able to play a large -format resolution on the canvas. The theme of images is almost limited to nothing but common sense. Each future owner selects the design that will correspond to his ideas and the design of the room. The most popular topics can be considered heavenly and cosmic bodies, various representatives of flora and fauna, landscapes (mountains, sea, meadows and so on). There are also orders for printing images with photographs of people.

  • The picture can be applied to the entire canvas or only on some part of it. At the same time, more voluminous images are most often used in large -scale rooms. If it is necessary to divide the space into visual zones, then the image on the canvas can also help in this, it is enough just to separate the parts with the color effect. Of course, it is very important here to think through the entire future design in advance so that the stretch 3D ceiling harmonizes with the rest of the details. The presence in the interior of three -dimensional stretch ceilings received its own style, which is called ultramodern.
  • For applying the picture, any types of paintings are suitable (glossy, satin or matte) and textile. But it should be borne in mind that film products can be produced only in rolls, the width of which is limited to 5 m. And if there is a need to install a design in a room with large parameters, then you will either have to adjust the drawing, or completely use another material.
  • It is for such cases (with a large space) that seamless polyester canvases are recommended. The option is also often used with the installation of a multi -level 3D ceiling, in which a vinyl film with a three -dimensional image occupies only small areas, for example, limited to geometric shapes, etc. It is the combination of drywall and stretch ceiling today that are the most commonly used solution for installation 3D Polkov. In addition to the frame used, lighting also helps to increase the volume of the image, which, in principle, plays a huge role in the design of the space, and in cases of creating a three -dimensional effect, you can’t do without additional lighting devices.

  • The technology of applying the drawing suggests that the image on the canvas is applied in compressed form. That is, only after the material is straightened and mounted, you can see the true beauty and plan of designers. Photo printing is the simplest option for creating stretch ceilings with the effect of three -dimensionality. There is no need to use complex forms, but at the same time, it is precisely such canvases that can be installed in rooms, with insufficient ceilings.
  • The situation is more difficult with a combination of stretch panels and drywall structures. Here, the flight of design thoughts is simply unlimited. Directors can be installed at different angles and levels, have smooth transitions or sharp features, be flat or with an additional volume, and so on. To date, there are many different ways to install stretch 3D systems, three options can be attributed to the most popular curved forms.

A variety of 3D ceilings

  • Arch This method involves smooth transitions from walls to ceiling, the effect of roundness is created. The radius can be almost anything that requires a design project. In addition, structures are often used where several arches are harmoniously combined, of different heights and radius. In cases where glossy canvases with a mirror effect are used, it is possible to visually expand the space and increase its height. The arches installed around the perimeter form a semblance of a dome.

  • Cone The canvas is mounted in such a way that a feeling is created that drops are falling from the ceiling or the effect of the presence in a cave with stalactites is created. The top of each cone, as a rule, is decorated with a lamp or if there are columns in the room, the cone can rest against this element. The bottom of the mounted structure may have the form of a truncated plane of various shapes, square, circle or rectangle.
  • Waves Such a technique suggests that the canvas is attached to the wall in a wave -like curved shape. In this case, the ceiling coating is obtained in the form of waves, which can be either one size or different. The effect of sandy dunes, or coastal waves, which float and scatter in different directions, is created. This is one of the most spectacular ways to create a three -dimensional ceiling, but at the same time it is the most difficult to install design.

Of course, these are far from the only options for designing 3D-polos, often designers come up with and implement absolutely crazy ideas in which the forms are so slyly intertwined that it is difficult to determine where one begins and the other figure ends.

Installation of stretch ceilings with 3D effect

Stretch 3D systems have almost the same installation technologies as ordinary stretch ceilings, the differences are only in small details. It is best to entrust the installation of professionals who will not only have a qualitative installation, but also offer warranty service for at least 2 years.

To date, there are 3 main methods of fixing the paintings:

  • wedge That is, with this method, the film is fixed using special wedges, the further dismantling of which is practically not feasible. The edges of the canvas are not processed and therefore, during installation, no exact calculations are required, approximate indicators are enough, after the installation is completed, the excess material is simply cut;
  • harpoon The canvas along the edge has a special mounting system - hut hooks, which, when tension, are fixed in the wall profile. There is the possibility of partial dismantling and re -fastening. This is very convenient in cases where the ceiling is flooded from above, it is enough to simply unscrew one and the corners and drain the accumulated water. Often this installation method is used precisely on polyvinyl chloride canvases, while it is important to make accurate calculations so that the material does not sag, and it was enough for normal tension;

  • stapikika This method does not require the installation of a ceiling plinth, the canvas is attached to the wall using aluminum or plastic slats.

The main difference between these methods of attaching paintings with a three -dimensional image from ordinary stretch ceilings is that in addition to standard profiles, special separators are also used here, which look like three -dimensional faces. That is, the main elements of the design are three -dimensional divisors, a baguette, a canvas, as well as a frame, in cases of installation of a multi -level system. Very often it is the 3D effect that can be achieved only when the light is turned on. So the lamps can be included in one of the mandatory elements of the stretch three -dimensional ceiling.

Advantages of stretch 3D ceilings

There are a great many advantages of this type, only some of them should be called to understand how profitable it is to have stretch ceilings with a 3D effect in the house:

  • the canvases have high practicality and durability;
  • it is quite easy to care for such a design, it is possible to even use wet cleaning;
  • excellent wear resistance of all elements of the stretch ceiling;
  • even if the main ceiling has irregularities, then the design completely covers this lack and additional leveling or any other work is not required;
  • quick installation, which is quite realistic to perform even with a completely furnished interior, while the amount of dirt and dust during installation is minimal;

  • a three -dimensional image allows you to increase the attractiveness of the interior;
  • the composition of the materials is safe and environmentally friendly;
  • the savings of funds, even despite the high initial cost (on average, the price of 3D ceiling is 1000-1500 rubles/m2), but since long-term operation is possible (at least 15 years), the costs pay off in full;
  • the canvases do not attract dust, so they do not become a place of collection, as well as the cause of allergic reactions;
  • if an unforeseen situation occurs in the house and the ceiling will be flooded with water, then it is enough just to call the master who will carefully release one corner of the canvas and the liquid will merge, and then return the ceiling to the normal state again.

In general, it can be said that it is the use of three -dimensional stretch ceilings that make it possible to realize many designers of designers and create a real luxurious interior. The owners of such canvases will also forget about many problems that were mandatory for the usual plastered, painted or otherwise designed ceiling.
