The final stage of installation

The next day you will find the final stage. Excessions of mounting foam, which protrude beyond the plane of the wall, must be carefully cut off with a sharp knife. After that, you can proceed to the installation of the platbands, they must be cut at an angle of 45 degrees to each other. Remember that the platbands are not installed flush with the door box, from the side of the loops it is necessary to retreat approximately 10-15 mm, and on the opposite side of 6-10 mm. If the platbands are made of MDF, and the walls in your apartment are perfectly even, then you can fix them with liquid nails. But for heavy wooden platbands, you will have to use metal nails so that they do not move, but remained in the place where you fixed them. Choose finish nails with a flattened hat with a size of 1.4x40 mm. In the depths of the platband, drive the nails by 1-1.5mm, and so that they are not noticeable, use a wax pencil to the color of the platband.
