Parquet of laminated characteristics and advantages

Laminated parquet is gaining more and more popularity due to its cheapness and excellent performance. The appearance of laminated parquet is comparable to natural wood, however, compared to a natural coating, it is characterized by more wear resistance, resistance before heating, moisture and some solvents.

In addition, this coating is distinguished by a variety of colors, the ability to imitate various wood species, anti -allergenic characteristics, and the ability to easily fit into any type of interior.

Laminate is cheaper, comfortable in installation, durable replacement of natural parquet. Among the advantages of laminated oak parquet, we note:

  • heat resistance - the laminate perfectly tolerates high temperature, so it fits on the floors with heated, and also there are no spots from an accidentally detected cigarette;
  • The laminate is easily washed and does not accumulate dust and dirt on its surface, to care for the coating, it is enough to periodically vacuum it or wipe it with a damp cloth;
  • high -quality laminate is highly durable and is able to withstand heavy loads;
  • The laminate is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, so over time it does not burn out;
  • There are a huge number of laminate options that can convey the texture of many wood species, also the laminate imitates stone, tiles, etc.;
  • For laying the laminate, special skills or a special tool are not needed, this process resembles the assembly of the designer, while the coating is easily dismantled several times and installed back;
  • The presence of a special substrate endows the floor from the laminate with additional noise absorption and depreciation;
  • You can lay laminate flooring over the old floor made of wood, plywood, even linoleum, the main condition is the presence of perfectly even and dry coating.

The structure of laminated parquet contains four main layers:

  • Coating based on melamine - protects the material from internal moisture;
  • The duration of the operation of the laminate determines the density of the wood -fiber slab used as the third layer for laminated parquet;
  • decorative film in the form of a texture of the drawing that imitates the laminate determines its appearance;
  • A transparent coating takes moisture, dirt, dust, mechanical damage and also determines the quality and duration of the laminate.

Parquet of laminated Besecleeva provides laminate assembly using special aluminum castles. This version of the laminate allows you to repeatedly dismantle the coating, without harm to the laminate.

The adhesive option for laying the laminate involves the creation of guaranteed waterproofing coating. In this case, the laminate is laid on glue and is not subject to further dismantling and secondary use.

The connection of the laminate with each other using the castle is a more popular method of laying this floor covering. In this case, the laminate is fixed with each other with special grooves, special click indicates the fixation of the laminate. This material is easily installed and disassembled if necessary, has the shape of a floating coating on the floor.

Parquet repair materials

There are many reasons for the restoration of parquet. This is the loss of the shine of the coating, flooding with water, deformation of boards or prolonged operation of the material. In any case, before starting work, it is necessary to inspect the floor and determine the nature of further actions.

If there is a creak while walking on the parquet, it is necessary to check the parquet bar for defects. If the comb on the bar broke off, then in this case, you should resort to its replacement.

Most often, in the process of repair work on the restoration of the parquet, the following materials are required:

  • electric drill;
  • Drill on wood, various diameters;
  • Maular sticky tape;
  • medical syringe;
  • polyurethane -based glue;
  • Loars of wax, suitable color.

In order to eliminate the script of the parquet, it is necessary to determine the place of its localization. To do this, walk on the coating and determine the area on which the creak occurs. Use a wax pencil to indicate these places. On the central part of the board, apply a mark on which the hole will be equipped. It is through them that the glue will be pumped under the parquet. The interval between the marks is about 15 cm.

Install the masking tape on the mark, it prevent damage to the parquet in the process of working with a drill. Build holes with a drill with a diameter of two millimeters. Determine the depth of the hole in the ratio with the parquet board. Remove the piston part of the syringe and fill it with glue. To remove excess glue, use a napkin.

Set the syringe to the hole and run glue into it. Try to make the glue completely fill all the cracks between the parquet and the floor. After an hour from the date of introduction of glue, remove the painting tape. Install the load on the previously processed parquet, which will provide uniform gluing the board to the surface.

Keep in mind that until the glue is completely dry, it is forbidden to walk according to these areas. Further openings repair is carried out after a day from the date of application of glue. To remove the hole, select a wax pencil to the color of the parquet, which will fill the gap in the future. Apply a pencil carefully and gradually. For polishing the holes, use a rag. In the process of heating, the wax will melt and evenly fill the hole. In the future, the hole will acquire a shade of parquet and will become invisible.

In some cases, the cause of the creak is the basis for laying parquet. It happens that plywood does not fit tightly to the screed and the process of friction on the surface occurs. In order to eliminate this problem, fix the problem areas on a concrete base using dowels. For this, in the central part of this section a drill is installed, the diameter of which is about six millimeters, then the parquet is fixed based on concrete. Keep in mind that the deepening of the dowel is made in the base for at least half a centimeter.

Parquet repair after flooding

DIY parquet restoration, you will need a lot of effort, time and a certain tool. If the parquet was subject to moisture prolonged exposure to it, there was a swelling and deformation of the planks, then wait for their drying. High -quality materials restore the original form after drying.

If this does not happen, then you will need to remove the deformed areas and install new boards in their place. DIY parquet repair, step -by -step instructions in phased work:

1. We dismantle damaged boards and old varnish coating.

2. Install new elements in places of damage to the parquet.

3. Grind the surface.

4. We perform the application of the starting and then finish putty.

5. Cover the floor with protective varnish.

In the process, the availability of:

  • grinding machine;
  • vacuum cleaner or broom;
  • spatula;
  • chisels;
  • scissors;
  • hammer;
  • roller;
  • saws for wood work.

In order to refuel a grinding machine, it will require the presence of paper, of varying degrees of granularity. To fix new parquet boards, special nails will be required. In addition, you should prepare glue for fixing the parquet on the surface, putty and a container for its breeding, as well as varnish applied to the entire floor in the room.

Using a hammer and a chisel, remove damaged areas from the floor. Next, you should clean the surface of the glue, if the parquet was fixed on it. Cover the new board with glue and install it in place of the extracted material.

For additional fixation of the board, use parquet nails that are installed closer to the extreme point of the parquet. To close up small cracks and chips on the floor, use a special putty to work with wooden surfaces. To remove large gaps between parquet boards, use special plates. Next, the old varnish coating is removed.

This process is called chic. To do this, install sandpaper on a grinding machine with a granularity of 40 units, turn on the machine and remove the top layer from the parquet board. To remove varnish in hard -to -reach places, use a hand -type grinding machine. Large grain is designed to remove varnish and level the floor surface. For grinding the surface, smaller grain is used. After the grinding is performed, the floor should remain even, pleasant to the touch, it should not be attended by differences.

To apply putty to the parquet, use a wide spatula. Using this material, it will be possible to get rid of small cracks and cracks on the surface. In addition, using putty, it is possible to additionally tint the parquet. Keep in mind that before applying putty, additional purification of the parquet and washing are performed. The material is applied after the parquet is completely dried.

After the putty layer dries, it is necessary to perform the finish grinding. For these purposes, paper with the smallest abrasive is used, with minimal loads on a grinding machine. After grinding, thoroughly clean the floor surface with a vacuum cleaner and cover the parquet with a primer. With its help, it is possible to reduce the amount of varnish absorbed by parquet.

The final stage of work on the restoration of the parquet floor is the application of varnish. As part of these substances, there are resins on a alkyd or polyurethane basis. Therefore, without fail, before applying varnish, dress a respirator and a protective mask. After applying this varnish, the parquet is covered with water -based varnish. To apply the material, a roller or a special brush is used.

The varnish is evenly rolled out on the coating and dries throughout the day. After that, the second and subsequent layers of varnish are applied. Keep in mind that alkyd varnishes completely dry out only after two weeks. Polyurethane varnishes are based on the operational load two days after applying them to the surface.

Repair of a thyroid parquet: Features of repair of the parquet of laminate

During prolonged operation of the thyroid parquet, a periodic exfoliation of the planks is taking place at the base. The main reasons for such troubles are the purchase of low -quality materials, a decrease in the quality of mastic for parquet, a long period of the operation of the floor, a decrease in the strength characteristics of the wood from which the parquet is made.

To correct this effect, it is necessary first of all to disassemble the area on which this problem arose. Further, the coating is cleaned of old glue or mastic and is covered with a new fixing composition.

If necessary, the old shields are replaced with new ones. If there are cracks between the thyroid parquet, it is necessary to disassemble the coating and reconstruct the parquet in this area. The cause of this trouble is hidden in the improper operation of the flooring.

The presence of bloating or deformation on the surface of the floor covered with a thyroid parquet indicates that it was exposed to high humidity. Think about installing additional ventilation in the room. To eliminate this problem, it is necessary to equip a gap on the site that was deformed. The base is thoroughly dried and set back, subject to the acquisition of the initial form. If, after drying, the parquet remained deformed, then in this case, it is necessary to install new boards.

Remember that the parquet coating negatively refers to moisture on it. Excessive humidity and dampness in the room are the first reasons for the appearance of problems with parquet. In order to prevent damage to expensive material - organize optimal conditions in the room by installing additional ventilation. It is not recommended to lay parquet in the bathroom or in the kitchen. This finishing material looks much better in the living room, hallway, bedroom and other rooms with moderate humidity.
