In order to perform penetrating waterproofing of the basement, it is necessary to use a solution based on sand, cement and additional inclusions, such as chemically active substances.

It is these substances that are able to penetrate deep into the basement, I form the so -called crystals that do not let water.

Penetrating waterproofing is divided into several varieties in relation to the depth of its penetration and the application method. The basement waterproofing from the inside with a penetron is a fairly common option, since this material provides reliable and economical protection of the basement from moisture.

Another option for performing internal waterproofing of the basement is the use of asphalt waterproofing. The essence of this method is to apply a 15 mm layer of asphalt to the sexual coating of the basement. There are two types of such waterproofing:

  • cold;
  • hot.

The first option differs in less high cost, and the second - with better performance characteristics. If you plan to use asphalt on a wooden floor, then a hot method is preferable, since such asphalt can penetrate more deeply into wooden pores.

The glow of waterproofing is based on the use of various kinds of roll materials. For their laying on the surface, mastic is used. Most often, materials are used in the form of roofing material, isola or waterproof. Before laying them, careful priming of the walls is required. This type of waterproofing is most often installed on the base covered with cement screed.

Laying of roller material is carried out on the surface of an excess. The number of layers is affected by the type and depth of groundwater in relation to the basement. If hot mastic is used, then it is laid in a layer of about two millimeters, and if it is cold, then one millimeter.

If roller materials are glued on a bitumen surface, then before these, it is covered with a primer that improves adhesion.

Hard waterproofing of basements from the inside with your own hands

Of particular complexity is the implementation of waterproofing using this technology. First, the plaster mixture is made, which contains only cement, sand and water. This composition needs to be processed both the walls and the floor with the ceiling in the basement.

For these purposes, you will need a waterproof cement or special impurities, on a sealing basis. This protection option is the most reliable, despite the complexity of work.

To perform waterproofing the basement from the inside and the entire room, be guided by the instructions:

1. Make a hole on the floor of the basement, size of 30 cm. Pour the pillow from the sand half of the pit.

2. Next, pour the surface with a concrete solution with a thickness of about 100 mm. The option of independent preparation of concrete solution or its purchase at the factory is possible. The second option is more reliable, since this type of concrete has a higher quality.

3. A bitumen base of three layers is applied to the base. The frequency of their application is calculated taking into account the complete drying of the previous layer.

4. Near the walls it is necessary to dig ditches, each width of up to 100 cm. In them, it is also necessary to equip a pillow of sand. Next, pour everything with a concrete solution and apply a bitumen coating.

5. On the walls, it is also necessary to apply a bitumen impregnation in three layers. Further, the walls are coated with clay, and the thickness of the layer is about 50 cm.

Waterproofing technology using liquid glass

Among the materials for waterproofing the basement from the inside, liquid glass is particularly popular due to its environmental safety and excellent performance.

We will talk about technology and recommendations for applying liquid glass further:

1. Application of liquid glass is carried out on the inner surface of the walls. Before that, the walls should be carefully aligned and degreased. To ensure superficial absorption of concrete on internal plaster, it is recommended to use the composition of the spray gun in the process.

2. The depth of the penetration of liquid glass into the wall is no more than two millimeters. If necessary, in deep impregnation, the composition is applied to several layers, in which case, the depth of penetration increases to two centimeters.

3. If, it is planned to apply liquid glass to wooden areas, then the technology changes slightly. To ensure reliable protection, wooden objects are dipped in liquid glass.

4. In addition, liquid glass allows waterproofing of any other surfaces. Since this material has anti -corrosion properties.

5. Before applying liquid glass, it is thoroughly mixed. For work, it is recommended to use a brush or roller. The instructions for liquid glass clearly indicate the proportion of its breeding, in accordance with a particular sphere of use.

6. Before applying the composition, you should clean the surface of dust, dirt, mold or fungus, if any. To prepare wooden structures for applying the composition, sandpaper is used.

7. Another method of waterproofing the basement with liquid glass, involves the dilution of liquid glass with a cement mortar, until a homogeneous consistency. After drying, you get an excellent protection of the basement from moisture.

8. The proportion of mixing liquid glass and concrete solution is one to ten. Keep in mind that all work is carried out quickly enough, since the composition has a high setting speed.
